Christmas Presents and New Year's Resolutions

I am so excited!! Last week for Christmas, I got the best gift from Santa!! A GYPSY!!! Woohoo!!! I have already created some last minute gift tags for our second Christmas celebration this weekend. I will be posting pictures of those tags later tonight after dinner. But for now here is a picture of my new Gypsy. This is when it was still in the box, but trust me she has gotten a great workout since then. :)

I also want to address New Year's Resolutions in this post. This year I have decided to have three resolutions. Here they are... no going back now...

1. Post on my blog at least once a week. I know that certain family members have been giving me grief about my lack of updates. I am going to try to update with a variety of projects. I will be doing wedding projects, scrapbooking pages, and maybe even some crochet projects!

2. Work out. I know, it is the same resolution everyone has. But I would like to work out using my Wii one hour a day for five days a week. Hopefully posting it on my blog will give me some accountability.

3. Get caught up on my scrapbooking. Now that I am officially graduated from college (Yay!!) I will have more free time when I get home from work. I plan on creating page kits when my photos arrive in the mail to speed my scrapbooking along.

Dang, now that I read that it sounds like a lot of work. But it's always good to have the best intentions and set your goals high. I can do it!!

Snowflake inchies!

So I am still doing the crazy Inchie challenge!  I have started working on my second set which is a set of snowflakes!  I stamped the snowflake and then put Modge Podge around the edges and dip it in glitter.  Time consuming, but the effect looks just like snow!  Thanks for looking!

Cupcake giftcard holders!

So I adore these giftcard holders... Fabulously Artsy has a video on Youtube that I watched several times while I was making the first one.  They are extremely time consuming but so much fun!  And sooo cute!  Here is a link to the Fabulously Artsy video if you want to try one for yourself!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkVm1Tif6gI

I made these for my dad and grandpa for Father's Day.  They both enjoy golf so I added a golf ball topper and pin flag for a more masculine cupcake.  The options for toppers are endless!

Have not posted in FOREVER!

Okay, if anyone is reading this I just want you to know that I haven't disappeared... I'm here and I've been busy busy busy creating!  So I took pictures of some of the things I have made and am working on posting them.  The good news is I am caught up on scrapping pictures through January of 2009!!  I can't believe it!!  I still have to do the journaling and cut some titles, but the pictures and embellishments are done!

Okie's Challenges

Here are my cards from this week's challenge from Okie.  It was so much fun!  It really helped having a sketch and knowing where I was going to put each layer.  It really sped up the whole process.

One more cupcake!

I told you I have really been enjoying using these stamps.  I also was messing around with Word and figured out how to do a circle of text.  I used WordArt and used the third option.  This one is black and slightly curved.  I typed in my text and sized it at 14 pt font.  Then when you are resizing it in the document you can click on the bottom right corner and drag down to make it more curved.  Once it looks like a half circle, click on the yellow circle.  You will see a dashed line that connects it to make a full circle.  Once it connects release the mouse and you will have a circle of text!  And that probably made little to no sense as it is past my bedtime.  If you are confused or want more clear directions feel free to email me at emonty22@yahoo.com or PM me on the message board emonty.  Thanks for looking!

Cupcakes galore!!

So lately I have been obsessed... with cupcakes!!  I bought some of the adorable Studio G stamps from a member of the Cricut MB and have not been able to stop playing with them!  This card was made with the Studio G series 27 Cupcake Stamps, Stickles, Prisma colored pencils, and for the sentiment I just printed it off my computer.  Enjoy!

Valentine's Day Card

Here is a Valentine's Day card I made for Andrew.  I used Plantin Schoolbook to cut out the hearts and outlined the hearts on the background with Stickles.  I am addicted to it now!!  Enjoy
